Hey everyone. I’m back...again! LOL!!! Every time I think I can come back weekend after weekend, something comes up. I have missed you all greatly. I hope you are having a great weekend.
Today, I’m sharing from my current work in progress, which is untitled at the moment, but I can tell you that it is book 3 of my Supernaturals series. The novel is with my editor. I’m hoping she can help me come up with a title.
This snippet follows my last one from months ago. In this snippet, Talia and Dakota are still talking about the email Dakota has forwarded to Talia.

“You’ve done nothing but talk about them since they came out. You’ve researched them more than any person I know. I see the way you moon over the photos of the men who’ve come out. You want to do this. We both know you do. You’re just too scared to admit it.”
Damn her and her perceptiveness.
“But you’re the writer not me.” My protest was feeble and forced, and we both knew it.

To each their own, as the saying goes. HIM's ratings are all over the map. Some love it, some don't, so think it is just okay, and you know what, I'm all right with that. HIM is a tough read, and one that many people aren't going to be able to stomach due to it's subject matter and graphic scenes. Personally, I think it and Outcast are the best things I've written to date.

“I know I write about the supernatural and all,” Dakota said after taking a deep breath, “but I’m not ready to meet one of them.”
“But you’re friends with Abby and…” I started confused by her fear. I’d never seen this side of Dakota before…ever. Abby Sullivan and Leigh Hart were human women who’d fallen in love with supernaturals and who’d helped the supernatural world come into the human one. They were also close friends of Dakota’s. She wasn’t afraid to spend time with them, so I wasn’t sure what was causing her hesitance.
“I am, and I love them dearly, but she and Leigh are human…and the shifters are different from the weres, or, at least the packs they live with are. They’re mostly humans who can turn into animals. Despite that, I’m not ready to spend more than a few hours on Sullivan territory or in Pine Hollow, let alone live amongst them for a month.”
