Happy New Year all.
We didn’t do much New Year’s Eve. We watched Bird Box. I’m not sure what the big deal is over the movie. It was good for a post-apocalyptic movie. I would have liked to have known more about the monsters, but other than that, I enjoyed it. I especially like the way she named the kids boy and girl. I don’t agree with her mindset, but I do understand why a person would choose to shut off their feelings in that way.
I have a lot to update this week.
One, I finished Leaving Liberty and will be sending it to my editor this week. My cover artist and I will hopefully have a cover for the short story soon.
Two, my editor sent Shore Haven back last week. I incorporated her notes and started sending the novel to my beta readers.
Three, I’ve heard the few chapters of Marked. I love the narrator’s interpretation of the characters. You all will love listening to the novel when it is ready.
Four, I’ve finished the first draft of a second Shore Haven short story. I don’t have a title for it yet, but I do have a few ideas for a cover.
Five, I know I’ve said this before, but I’ve also started the final draft of Awake. I hope to send it to editing around March.

I hope everyone is ready for Christmas or whatever you celebrate this time of year. I think I've decorated all that I'm going to and bought all my gifts. All I have to get now is food for the different places I have to go. My husband really wants to pretend the day doesn't exist, and I wish I could give him that, but his mother is insisting that we have a Christmas meal, so I'll be cooking that day.
In the meantime, I've been writing and will continue to do so, as I've been working on a short story set in Shore Haven's world. I'm currently on the second draft. My cover artist is also working on a cover. I'm loving her initial ideas. I will release this story for free once it's ready. I can't wait to give you guys a peek into that world.

I’m still adjusting to life without my FIL, so some days, like today, I don’t feel up to writing. Having said that for the three days I’ve done nothing but write. I wrote more in those three days than I did in the last three months or at least it feels like it.
I’m working on a short story set in Shore Haven’s world. I’m nearly finished with it. I’m going to release them for free since the novel is full length and will be $3.99. I have about four short stories planned to go along with the novel, which I hope I’ll be releasing in the next few months.
Oh, if any of you know anything about modern drawbridges, PM me. I’ve been doing a bit of research for the short story and haven’t come across the answers I need.
