WIP 12-19-14

I'm still sick, but did manage to get in a little editing today. Here is an excerpt from chapter 6 of Resistant:

I'm feeling better (I had a bug this week), and am back to editing Resistant. Here is a little glimpse at the pages I read through today:

Monday 12-15-14 - Another busy day, but hey, I did manage to get some editing done. I love the holidays, but I don't like how much I have to do. Here is a little peak at what I worked on today:

I sitting under the heater, sipping peppermint tea, and editing. Can you tell that I'm cold. LOL!! I hope everyone is keeping warm. Our weather is all over the place these days. One day I'm freexing, the next I'm burning up. That is Alabama ADD weather for you. Okay, I'll stop complaining. Here is a little peak at what I've read through today:

Thursday, 12-18-14: Another fruitful day of editing. Had to some alterations and make some additions to the two chapters I worked on today, but as usual everything bit of it made the story better. Here is a little sample of what I worked on today:

Friday, 12-19-14: You know the story line is good when you read a great deal more than you planned to do for the day of your own work. I love that I can get so caught up in my own work. Here is a little peak at what I worked on today:

That is it for this week. Check back with me in the new year to get more excerpts from my works in progress.

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :)

WIP 12-6-14

Monday 12-1-14 Saying Goodbye - Well, it is official, the first draft of Saying Goodbye, my ghost story is done. As of yesterday, I am beginning another read-through of Resistant, my zombie apocalypse romance to get it ready to go to my editor once we finalize HIM. Here is an excerpt from what I've worked on today:
Michael held out the vial, which the man took, disrobed, and lay down on the table. He took a deep breath. “I’m ready.”

Monday 12-1-14 Resistant: As I mentioned earlier, I've now started another read-through of Resistant. I finished chapter two tonight, and from what I can tell, I have a pretty solid novel that is ready for my editor, but I'll know for sure once I finish this read-through. Here is an excerpt from that novel:

Wednesday 12-3-14. Resistant - Read through chapter 4 or Resistant. I didn't realize how funny this novel was. I found myself laughing out loud a number of times in this chapter. I hope you guys find this novel as amusing as I do. Here is a little excerpt for you.

Thursday 12-4-14 - Resistant - Here is an excerpt from the chapter of Resistant I worked on today.

WIP Update 11-28-14

Saturday 11-22-14

Shut up. I'm not bawling over the chapter I just finished. (I say, blowing my nose and cleaning my face.) That was the hardest ending I've ever had to write, since the airplane scene in ALONE. Well, I say ending, but I've decided that the novel needs an epilogue, so once that is done, the first draft will be finished. Here is a small snippet of the scene that made me burst into tears. Yeah, I'm giving a little away here, but this novel probably won't be out until next fall, so by then, most of you will have forgotten all about it...right.
“No buts. Tell him you love and tell him goodbye,” Ian ordered.
“Michael, I…”
“I know, baby, I know. I love you, too. I have to go, now."

Oh, I forgot to tell you. I'm thinking of titling this one SAYING GOODBYE. What do those of you who have been following this one think about this title?

Well, that is all of the writing I did this week. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. I'm off to do shopping with my mom.

Before I forget, between now and December 26th, you can downloader SHIFTER and ALONE for half of their original price.

WIP Update 11-21-14

Saturday 11-15-14 Ghost story: Chapter 28 is finished. I'm having a pretty productive week. Go me. Here is a peak at worked I worked on today: Her head was titled slightly to look up at him, and he wanted nothing more than to kiss her, and he thought he saw a look in her eyes that said she wanted the same thing.

Monday 11-17-14 Ghost story: Worked on chapter 29 a bit, and decided on an ending. Not bad for the day. While Kathryn has HIM and, I'm finishing up the ghost story, I'm also going to start another read-through of Resistant, my zombie piece, so be looking for some excerpts from it over the next few weeks. Okay, so here is a sample of what I worked on today:
"I really will be leaving for good soon. I’m going to let my soul be reborn. So I came to say my goodbyes.”

Thursday 11-20-14 Ghost story: Chapter 29 of the ghost story is done. Chapter 30 started. Almost finished with the first draft. YAY!!! Here is a peak at what I worked on today:
"Michael still lingered in their minds, and he always would. Unbeknownst to them, he was still lingering in the human world watching them, wanting to ensure that they found the happiness they deserved."

Friday 11-21-14 Ghost story: All I need is one more good writing day and I will finish the first draft of the ghost story. The last chapter is almost done. YAY!!! Here is a sneak peak at what I've worked on today:
She and Ian walked back to the cemetery. The short stroll made them both a little nervous, but neither said anything as they passed Michael’s head stone and headed toward the creek and the old tree behind which Michael usually waited.

I'm going to start editing Resistant, my Zombie piece next week, so get ready for some excerpts from that piece. :)

What I've Read this week.

I started A Clockwork Orange, but I'm having issues with all of the slang. I read a chapter or two, but had to put it down. I'll try to pick it up later. (If you want a rating. So far, I'm only giving this three stars.)

I'm so glad, I put aside A Clockwork Orange, because Written In Red and its sequel, Murder of Grows is amazing. I'm definitely going to be a bit obsessive with this one. I don't know if I can wait until April 2015 for the next book. :) (Both books get 5 Stars.)

I really didn't want to move on after the last series, but alas I didn't have a choice. This next series seems interesting. I just started Anna Dressed Red it today, so we will see.
